Frequent Questions

How is Indoor airPLUS related to the ENERGY STAR program?

Both Indoor airPLUS and ENERGY STAR Certified Homes are voluntary programs created by EPA to promote improved construction in new homes. Indoor airPLUS is a companion label to ENERGY STAR Certified Homes. Together these programs provide increased energy efficiency, improved durability, and comprehensive health protections. Builders can use a variety of construction practices and technologies to achieve the Indoor airPLUS label, reduce indoor air pollutants, and improve the indoor air quality in your new home.
